One thing that I love about the photo I looked at to draw this

 is the great contrast, and how the first thing you see are her
lovely eyes.

I was looking around for a picture to draw, and thought

of Mrs. Southwell's blog, which has many beautiful photos on it.

I found this adorable picture of her son, James, crouched in his overalls
and smeared with dirt, but looking like an angel.

Little Dreamer

The photo I looked at to draw this picture definitely caught my eye.
I absolutely love the message this picture gives; how this little ballerina
is holding pointe shoes (probably her mother's or sister's) and dreaming.

A Lovely Daughter

 

This is a commission I did earlier this month of a very beautiful young woman.

I used HB, 2B,4B,7B, 8B pencils and a tortillion.

The hardest part for me to draw was the hair, and the leaves were the

most time intensive.

Bathing Beauty

This is a pencil sketch I mainly did for fun, because of the extremely high contrast.

I used HB, 2B, 4B, 7B and 8B with a tortillion. For some of the hair I used

a self-made stencil and erased. 

Siblings

This is a pencil sketch I drew in September as a gift.
I used HB, 4B, 6B, and 8B pencils, with a tortillion.
It was 11x14 inches.

Sleepy

As soon as I saw this picture I knew I had to draw it. The baby is

so adorable! I used HB, 2B, 4B, 7B, and 8B pencils as well as a tortillion.

Woodland Maid

One thing I particularly like about this drawing is her freckles and the
leaves in her hair.

The Little Ballerina

This is a pencil sketch with some painted accents. I used
HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B pencils, as well as a tortillion, and apple barrel
acrylic paints in white, red, and black hues.

Indian Boy

The main reason I chose this picture to draw was because it was a challenge, due to the water
running over his face. It was a good learning experience, that’s for sure. I used HB, 2B, 6B, 7B,
and 8B pencils with a tortillion and, of course, eraser.
The hardest part was drawing his eyes, the easiest was his ear.

Ariel

This drawing was very interesting and fun for me, since I had to use my imagination for the most part.
I drew the outline of her face, arms, hands and torso looking at a picture off of the internet.
These are the pencils I used: HB, 2B, 6B, 7B, and tortillions for blending.
